The Latest Update Before Early Access

Enjoy Studio has released their fifth developer diary, revealing major changes ahead of the approaching Early Access. From better world generation to new biomes and NPC villages — here is a summary of the most important news.

Improved Procedural Generation

Islands are now more varied — with unique silhouettes, hidden paths and more distinct biomes. Two biomes received a complete rework. Jungles are denser and more vertical, with ruins of the ancient Grimverd civilization and dangerous wildlife like Spinejaws. Rotten Islands tell a story of industrial decay with toxic zones and abandoned mines waiting to be explored.

The Ocean Below the Clouds

The developers are adding partially submerged islands, creating interesting environments especially in desert biomes with oasis-like pockets. The sea beneath the floating islands is becoming an explorable area.

New Bosses and Combat Upgrades

The combat system is getting further improvements and new bosses with unique mechanics are being added. For players looking for a challenge, dungeons will be even more demanding.

NPC Villages

The world will feature NPC settlements where you can trade, accept quests and interact with non-player characters. This adds another layer to exploration and brings the world closer to a true RPG experience.

Third-Person View

Everwind is primarily an FPP game, but the developers are experimenting with an optional third-person perspective. This is still in the testing phase.
